FRIDAY FOUNDATIONS/GENTLE ALL LEVELS with Betsy:  The perfect transition from the work week to the weekend, this class is suitable for those new to yoga, returning to yoga or yogis wanting a review of fundamentals. Taught in the Ashaya style, a heart-centered and alignment based method that will inspire your mind and spirit as it strengthens your body.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Beginner: An introduction to the basics: postures and healthy alignment, simple breathing practices, deep relaxation, basic yoga philosophy.  We recommend taking this class several times to develop a strong foundation for further practice.

All Levels: A moderately paced class open to all students including Beginners and Continuing; builds on the basics by deepening an understanding of posture, breath, meditation, and philosophy.

Continuing: For students with prior experience who prefer a deep, varied, but moderately paced asana practice, including inversions and pranayama.

Vinyasa:  A class in which movement and breath are connected.  Poses are linked to one another by an inhale or exhale and the movement becomes like a dance.  For students who understand basic alingment principles and have prior experience. No injuries, please.

Restorative: A  restful approach to yoga using props to support the body as it quietly replenishes; recommended for stress reduction and healing.

Seniors: A gentle, restorative class to enhance strength, flexibility, and balance.

Private: A therapeutic approach to individualized yoga practice.

Classes are often adjusted to accommodate those attending. We purposefully keep class sizes small, so early registration is encouraged. Payment plans are available by speaking with your teacher. The drop-in fee is $18.
